Trek: Mahuli Fort

Mahuli is situated in the Shahapur taluka of Thane district. Height of this fort above sea level is 2815 ft. It’s the highest point in the Thane district. The forest surrounding Mahuli has been declared as a sanctuary. The fort has very distinctive ‘pinnacle’ formations which are visible from a fair distance.

Strong ‘darwaza’ in the centre of the fort & Kalyan Darwaja.
First pick-up point: Saturday, June 20th at 10.45 p.m. at, Western Express Highway,
Aarey colony junction, Goregaon(East).
Second pick-up point: Saturday, June 20th at 11.30 p.m., near Vishwa Mahal Hotel,
We reach the temple at Mahuli late in the night on 20th.
Sunday – After an early breakfast we start the trek to Mahuli fort (2 to 2.30 hour).
After reaching on top of the fort we will spend time watching the fort.
We start the descent late in the afternoon and after tea & snacks head for
Mumbai by our Bus.
Contribution per person is Rs. 450/-
Advance: Rs.300 to be paid to any of the AASAMANT members.
(Cost includes all Travelling expenses from Mumbai to Mumbai by bus & Food expenses on Sunday, 21st June.)
