Its monsoon time once again… another place… another trek…. with mind blowing scenery, Loads of water and a wonderful beauty of nature in monsoon… and this time it’s going to be the Photographer’s Paradise LOHGAD in the hills of LONAVALA Region.
I am glad to announce that “OUTDOOR ADVENTURES MANAGEMENT” have organizing a “Trek to Lohgad” on 28th June, 2009.
More about the destination:
Fort Height : 3410 ft.
Type : Hill forts with huge fortification wall all around.
Lohagad fort is 7kms south of Malavali station on the Pune-Mumbai railway line. Situated on a side range of Sahyadri mountains, if divides the basins of Indrayani and Pavana rivers. Close to Lohagad, on its eastern side, there is another fort, called Visapur. The approach to Lohagad is from the village Lohadwadi, situated in the depression between Lohagad and Visapur fort.
Its day trek but just to enjoy more we’ll start traveling in night of 27th so we can start trekking in the early morning.
We are going to have privet bus to pick us on different locations starting from Borivali-Andheri-Bandra- Sion- Panvel- Lonavla
We will be start traveling at 10:00 pm from Borivali and according to that all pick ups will get done.
Borivali- 10:00 pm
Sion- 11:00 pm
Panvel- 11.45 pm
Lonavla- 4 pm

We’ll start trekking early morning of 28th – sunday.
& we’ll start return journey around at 5:00pm – sunday.
Friends, you all are requested to carry packed Food for the trek as there are no villagers and proper hutments for arranging food, water etc. Also there’s nothing available on top except a mind blowing scenery, beautiful construction of the fort & Loads of water and a wonderful cave to relax in…. so please carry decent amount of eatables.The added attraction is the” Scorpion Tail” whats popularly known as Vinchoo Kata.

Location—– Lohgad.( Lonavla region)
Difficulty Level– Easy.
Time taken to ascend—- 2-2.5 Hrs.
Expenses—- Rs 475 per head.
THINGS TO CARRY-
1. Food & Water (Mandatory).
2. Cap / Gog.(optional)
3. Camera (DO NOT forget your cameras here. Beg, borrow or steal….its worth it.)
3. Extra pair of clothes.(optional)
4. Good footwear.(Mandatory)
5. Slippers or floaters (just to relax your feet before & after the trek) (optional)
6. Personal small medical kit. (if u require usually/Optional)
7. Electral/Tang powder (NO GLOCON-D PLEASE)
8. Wind Cheater.
9. Other things as per your choice.
10. Haversack to put all these things.
