Bhimashankar is located at 19°04?N 73°32?E / 19.06°N 73.53°E), is a mountain pass in the Western Ghats range near Ambegaon, Pune district of Maharashtra, India. Bhimashankar, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas is at a distance of around 200 km from Mumbai. It is also the source of the River Bhima, which flows southeast and merges with the river Krishna.
