Gorakhgadh is situated in Naneghat Range of Sahyadri. There is not much fortification on Gorakhgadh. There is a small pinnacle at the top. The way till the base of pinnacle is simple and to the top of the pinnacle is bit tricky. Water cisterns and spacious caves are there at the base of the pinnacle. The caves reside 30-40 people at a time.

To reach Gorakhgadh, we will be taking public transport from Kalyan ST Depot. From Kalyan we will travel till Murbad and from Murbad till base village Dehri.

Reaching the top of the Gorakhgad is a nice thrill that one should enjoy, except in the monsoon(In monsoon the rocks are slippery)! The view around, is wonderful……..Siddhagad in the south-west and Naneghat, Jivdhan, Dhakoba  in the east, offers a nice panorama.
