We take this opportunity to Wish all of you a Merry Christmas & a Very
Happy New Year with full of adventure indeed. Sure this kind of adventure
would fill your coming year with much needed change, relaxation,
recreation & well being in your life too.
This year saw a lot of focus on Sahyadri treks as well as
cycling tours / propaganda for reducing carbon footprints. We explored
almost every region of Sahyadris in the Western Deccan range with a trek every month.
This new year too, we expect the same enthusiasm continue
& grow amongst our members & guest community. We start the new year
with our first 2 day trek to Mangi-Tungi & Nhavi forts. These hill forts are
located in the Baglan region ie Selbari-Dolbari range north-west of Nasik.
We look forward to relish this trek with this coldest period of the
year. This once upon a time a barren region is not flourished with
extensive Horticulture & had brought a life to this region. Mangi
& Tungi are characterized by rock cut caves consisting of inscriptions
of lord Mahavir, Adinath, Parshvanath, Hanuman, Vali, Sugriva &
Vrindavan of Shri Krishna. The view from the top provides a splendid 360deg
