27th Nov BUTTERFLY BOUNTY AT OVELEKAR WADI
Sun Watch these flying gems bask in the winter morning sun and flitting around as you enjoy a sumptuous breakfast. Do
not miss this unique open-air butterfly garden in the world teeming with several species of butterflies. Here hundreds
of butterflies fly freely and are NOT kept captive under net or glass. On a good day one can spot Tawny and Black
Rajah, Blue Mormon, Blue Oakleaf, Gaudy and Common Baron, Great Orange Tip, plus several Blue and Striped

4th Dec BIRDING AT ELEPHANTA ISLAND
Sun Good time to see migratory birds on the mudflats around the island. Birds like the Brown and Black-headed Gull,
Gullbilled Tern, Lesser and Greater Sand Plover, Indian Grey Hornbill, Black-hooded Oriole, Osprey and White-bellied

Sun Tungareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is situated north of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP), and forms a corridor for
the animals between SGNP and Tansa Wildlife Sanctuary. This trail is lined with lianas and a dense mixed deciduous
forest, during this season one can see good butterfly diversity like Chocolate Pansy, Sailor, also birds like Rufous
Treepie, Ashy Drongo, Yellow-eyed Babbler, Crested Serpent Eagle, Brown-headed Barbet, Shikra, Verditer Flycatcher
and much more can be seen here. Grade: Easy Group leaders: Mr. Vandan Jhaveri & Mr. Rahul Khot Charges: Rs.

17th Dec WADER WATCH AT SEWRI
Sat With the winter migrants here for the season, get a chance to observe these unique group of birds at Sewri, also get
a chance to catch the first glimpses of the elegant Lesser and Greater Flamingos if the first batch of Flamingos have
migrated to the Mumbai coast. One of the best place in & around Mumbai to see these winged visitors. Participants
can see birds like Lesser Sand Plover, Little Ring Plover, Bar-tailed and the threatened Black-tailed Godwit, Eurasian
Curlew, Common and Curlew Sandpiper, Common, White-throated and Black-capped Kingfisher, threatened Blackheaded
Ibis and possibly Lesser and Greater Flamingo could be seen on the trail. Group leaders: Mr. Asif Khan & Mr.

Sun Winter mornings at this trail is always rewarding. The trail offers flora and fauna, butterflies like Baronet, Common
Leopard, and Stripped Tiger also birds like Loten’s Sunbird, Common Iora, Greater Coucal, Grey Junglefowl and
occasionally mammals like Spotted and Sambar Deer can be seen on this trail. This trail leads through fine forest
dominated by bamboo and ends at the stream. Reporting: Members to meet at the SGNP main gate at 7.30 a.m.

31th Dec WINTER TREK AT MATHERAN
Sat Spend the last day of the year trekking through the densely forested hills on a winter morning is a rejuvenating
experience. The clear skies and the morning mist make this trek very enjoyable. During the trek one could spot birds
like the Peregrine Falcon, Common Kestrel, Crested Serpent-eagle, Dusky crag-martin, Rufous Treepie and many
