We at Wild Rangers arranged trek to Duke’s Nose on 20 November 2011.

Duke’s Nose is also known as Nagphani or Cobra’s Hood. As you climb the Khandala Ghat, Duke’s Nose looks like an alarming apex. It has earned a great fame and is considered to be easy to hike

Journey Details:-
Sunday, 20 November 2011
The Indrayani express scheduled at 05.40 Hrs from CST will drop us at Lonavala around 08.00 Hrs. Pls be sure about the timing… Following is timing where train halts… you can catch wherever it is comfortable to you… (People coming from Pune can join us directly at Khandala Station by 8:45)

05.40 Hrs: – Mumbai CST
05.51 Hrs: – Dadar
06.14 Hrs: – Thane
06.35 Hrs: – Kalyan
07.15 Hrs: – Karjat
08.00 Hrs: – Lonavala
08.30 Hrs: – Breakfast
09.30 Hrs: – Move Towards Khandala and start trek by old railway track route
12.00 Hrs: – Top of the Dukes Nose
Site Seeing and Lunch
13.30 Hrs: – Start Desnding to Base Village
15.00 Hrs:- Move Towards Lonavala Railway Station

After having Breakfast we will move to Mumbai By available Express.
– Indrayani Express : Dep Lonavala 19:23Hrs –> Arv Mumbai 21:55Hrs
– Intercity Express : Dep Lonavala 18:46Hrs –> Arv Mumbai 20:20Hrs

Things to be carried: –
A Water Bottle (~3.0 Ltrs), Torch
Lunch for the day (Required)
Camera, Cell Phone, Mug (Optional)
Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments
Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits etc.
Medicine those if you require usually (Optional)
Extra Pair of clothes, Good trekking shoes,
A haversack to put all these things

Trek Fees Rs. 160.00 per Person
This includes traveling from Lonavala to Lonavala by local Transport, Breakfast, and Refreshments

All our treks are Eco-friendly treks; kindly take care of nature around us. Smoking and Drinking alcohol during trek is strictly prohibited if anyone found doing that will be expelled from trek without refund.
