The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour comes to Pune on December 15 2012!!
The Banff Mountain Film Festival, a program of The Banff Centre Canada, is the largest and one of the most prestigious, mountain festivals in the world.
Hot on the heels of the festival held every fall in Banff Canada, the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour hits the road and travels to 35 countries reaching more than 210,000 people at over 550 screenings.
The 2012 World Tour features a collection of the most inspiring action, environmental, mountaineering and adventure films. Traveling to exotic landscapes and remote cultures, and bringing audiences up-close and personal with adrenaline-packed action sports, the 2011/2012 World Tour is an exhilarating and provocative exploration of the mountain world.
Darode-Jog Properties, NFAI, Protecterra Ecological Foundation and TrekDi cordially invite enthusiasts and others when the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour brings the spirit of outdoor adventure to the City of Pune.
From approximately 300 films entered into the annual festival, award-winning films and audience favourites are among the films chosen to travel the globe. The Pune Chapter will showcase the award winning films Cold, Reel Rock: Race for the Nose and The Freedom Chair amongst several others.
The event is FREE and OPEN TO ALL. Passes can be collected from the Darode – Jog Properties office at Darode-Jog House, 1212, Apte Road, Deccan Gymkhana.
Since it is a free open event audience will be seated on a first come first serve basis and are requested to be seated by 5.20pm sharp.
