International Cycle To Work Day – Mumbai Chapter Saturday, May 18, 2013

‘Cycle-to-Work’ – Is a ‘Citizen’s Awareness’ initiative, which was introduced to the city of Mumbai last year. We plan to make this a more ambitious effort by increasing the stretch of cycling from BKC to Bandra CCD. The idea is to create awareness amongst the citizens of Mumbai about the positive effects of cycling as a mode of transport and the benefits that will accrue to both, the cyclists and the city.

Who participates: CEOs, Working professionals, Cycling enthusiasts, fitness personnel etc
Date: May 18, 2013
The Route: BKC to Bandra Carter Road.
Timings: 5.30 pm – 7.30 pm

The Message: An endeavor to create an awareness and educate the citizens of Mumbai about the benefits of cycling, at least once a week viz:
Helps a person keep fit. One’s health improves naturally when compared to the confinements of indoor gyms which are time bound as well.
Economical transport – With the rising prices of petrol not all can afford to drive to work or take cabs to work.
Reduction in pollution – Statistics shows, with 45,000 vehicles commuting the stretch between Nariman Point and Bandra the levels of pollution are unimaginable.

We look forward to your support on every front for this occasion which will serve to bring a definite change to the people and the city of Mumbai.
