Join The Western Routes as we head to Kaas Plateau this September. At the end of monsoons, for around 3-4 weeks in September, the place changes its ‘colours’ and takes up a different avtaar with a vivid carpet of flowers. There are more than 850 different species of flowers and other plants at the plateau. Recently Kaas, which is part of the larger Western Ghats, has been declared as a Natural World Heritage Site by The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization.
An extended trip to the stunning Thoseghar Falls makes a perfect addition to the trip. The flowers, the clear blue skies, the waterfall and the newly installed windmills have a soothing effect of one’s body, mind and soul.

Dear Adventurists,
We started our ‘Wild wind cave expedition’ this year with pure intention of bringing exposure to the basic life. Sleeping in a cave with the warmth from a bonfire scarcely reminded us the fight for survival, but even more than that it gave a smashing blow to our whole personality.. yes, after a day long trek the rock bed in the cave feels like the best bed you ever slept on.
Our next expedition takes us to Naneghat (Literal translation – coin pass and ideally Toll check pass). This pass used to be an ancient trade route between Konkan and Marathwada. This mountain pass in the Western Ghats range near Junnar in Pune district of Maharashtra, India. During the reign of the Satavahana (200 BCE–190 CE), the pass was extensively used as a trade route between Kalyan and Junnar. Literally, the name nane means “coin” and ghat means “pass”. The name is given because this path was used as a tollbooth to collect toll from traders crossing the hills.
