Jivdhan – Naneghat 18 Oct., 2015 by Explorers.   Register Before 15 October, 2015   Jivdhan Fort originated during the Satvaahan era. Every entry point on the forts built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj have a ‘Kalas’ and Lord Ganesh carved on it. The Jivdhan fort stood as an important guard fort to protect the interests of various kingdoms. Jivdhan to Naneghat has an open field of 2-3 km, which gives any clear indication of enemy approach. The British captured this fort in 1818 and destroyed all approaches. This fort was captured by Col. Prother of the East India company and later destroyed.   Naneghat is a mountain pass in the Western Ghats range near Junnar in Pune district of Maharashtra, India. During the reign of the Satavahana, the pass was extensively used as a trade route between Kalyan and Junnar. Literally, the name nane means “coin” and ghat means “pass”. The name is given because this path was used as a tollbooth to collect toll from traders crossing the hills.   DIFFICULTY GRADE : Medium   ENDURANCE LEVEL : Medium   WALKING TIME : 2.5 Hours   FEE (PUNE TO PUNE) : Rs. 850/- Per Head.   FEE (PUNE TO PUNE) INCLUDES : • Transport by Non AC High Back Private Vehicle (Pune – Ghatghar – Pune). • Trekking with all safety measures. • Morning Tea & Breakfast (Limited) • Lunch (Pure Veg. – Unlimited) • Evening Tea only. • Expert Team of Explorers. • First aid kit. • Government Service Tax.   FEE DO NOT INCLUDES : • Cold drinks, Mineral water, etc. • Private orders of Tea, Breakfast, Meals, etc. • Personal expenses of any kind. • Insurance Coverage. • Medical expenses other than “First aid”. • Any other charges not mentioned in “Fees Include”.   WHAT TO BRING : • A Good Quality of Rucksack suitable for One day Trek with all inside Luggage packed in a Plastic Bag. • Minimum 3 Ltr.
