Dear Friends We invite you all for Night Trek to Kavnai Fort with MumbaiRangers on 22 May 2016 Leaving 21 May sat night   This fort is located on a hill near village Kavnai, in Igatpuri Taluka of Nashik district, India.  The Kavnai village is well connected by road to Igatpuri. Igatpuri is 18 km from Kavnai. Village Kavnai is a religious place where Saint Dnyaneshwar rested for few days. Kavnai Fort is a hidden beauty in Nashik waiting to be explored! With a commanding view of the surrounding villages and also a lake on top. The fort embarks a small lake along with several temples dedicated to Goddess Parvati along with Lord Ganesha and Hanuman.  The main entrance door of the fort still stands in a good condition. On entering the main doorway we can see a cave on the right hand side.  We have to go via this route only to reach the fort top. On reaching the fort top we can see a small pond towards southern side of the fort.  There are many dilapidated structures of mansion by the side of this pond. There is a bastion at the western end of the fort.  Also a cistern is located near this bastion. Mask Group : Kundalika River Rafting at Kolad     About: Kundalika River Rafting near Kolad is set up on the river Kundalika which receives excess dam water from the nearby hydel power stations. The water is released typically by 08:15am by the dam authorities which result in an increase in level and force of the water which makes rafting possible.   All safety precautions are taken care off by the on-site-organizers and even non-swimmers are welcome.   Tentative Itinerary: 0500hrs: Depart from Mumbai 0800hrs: Arrive at Kolad. 0800hrs-0900hrs: Briefing and setup for Rafting 0900hrs-1200hrs: Kundalika River Rafting 1200hrs-1230hrs: Assemble at parking lot and head towards resort for freshen up and lunch 1300hrs-1530 hrs: Changing and refreshing time followed by Lunch 1530hrs: Depart for Mumbai 1800hrs-1830hrs: Break for Evening tea/coffee 2000hrs: Tentative Arrive at Mumbai   Event Cost: Rs.2200/-.
