Situated at an altitude of about 3, 676 ft above sea level,this unique fort isbuilt on a triangular prism of rock.The three faces and two edges of the fort are completely vertical. Rocky steps with one meter wide at an angle of about 75 degrees are also found here.A small temple and a cave with water, situated on the top, are worth visiting. Rock cut steps at an angle of almost 80 degrees vertical. While climbing the fort, we come across a rock-sheet, which has got steps carved in it. Also many grooves have been carved here for additional support. Grade: Easy Base Village: Thakurwadi Trek Fee: 1200/- Per Person                  1100/- WSR Members Trek Lead: Deepak / Seema   SUDHAGAD: The only fort which was considered before Raigad for establishing as the capital of Shiv Swarajya, Sudhagad is a gigantic fort with a huge plateau atop. Tactfully fortified this was one of the mightiest and inaccessible forts of that time. A well-built temple of Bhoraidevi is the only place for shelter atop. There is a deepmal in front of the temple. Few remnants of Tulsi Vrundawan lay in the vicinity. The main attraction on this fort is the Mahadarwaja at Dhomse side which is an exact replica of the Mahadarwaja at Raigad, and still is in good shape. WSR Monsoon Trek to Highest peak of Maharashtra “Kalsubai” on 04th Sept 2016.   Little info about this trek:  Type: Hill fort Fort Range: Kalsubai  Grade: Medium Fees: 950/-           850/- WSR Members Event Lead: Deepak / Seema   Kalsubai Peak (Marathi: कळसूबाईशिखर) is the highest peak (1646 meters) of the Sahyadris on the border of Igatpuri Taluka, Nashik district and Akole Taluka, of Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra, an Indian state. ‘Kalsubai’ temple is located at the topmost peak of Sahyadri mountain range of Maharastra. At the summit there is a small flatportion with a small temple of Kalsubai, a local deity. A traditional prayer (pooja) service is held every Tuesday and Thursday by a local priest. Local villagers sell the pooja materials almost all year long, while sending their cows for grazing.  Navratri occasions many stalls are set up near the summit for the pooja materials. During the Navratri period, for all nine days, special poojas are carried out and idol is fully decorated. Special Mela (fair) is organized forNavratri.
