Night Trek To Mount Kalsubai
Type: Temple Fort
Height: Approx. 5400 feet
Kalsubai Peak is the highest peak of the Sahyadri mountain ranges in Ahemadnagar district. At the sumit is a small temple of the Kalsubai Godess, the local deity, hardly big enough to seat three people at one time. This peak stands true to its quality of being the highest peak of the state and commands a mesmerizing view of the mountains surrounding it.
To the north of the mountain are various forts and scalable mountains such as Harihargad, Brahmagriri, the intimidating AMK range and many more such. To the south west is the famous needle hole upon Ratangad and to the south are Harishchandragad and Ghanchakkar can be seen.
DAY 1: 31st March 2018, Saturday –
Meeting point: Ticket window at Kasara Station
Meeting time: 8.40pm
6.25 PM: Board the semi-fast Kasara local from CST which will drop you off at Kasara station at 8.40 PM. The participants can board the local from their respective stations. The time table is shared below.
9.00PM: Proceed towards the base village.
11.00 PM: Reach the base village, relax for a while and have dinner.
12.00 Am: Start the trek towards the peak. Reach the top at our own pace, and enjoy the journey.
DAY 2: 1st April 2018, Sunday –
06:30 AM: Wake up and freshen up. Watch the sunrise and enjoy the cool morning.
07:00 AM: Start decent towards the base, where we will have some awesome breakfast ready for us.
11:00 AM: Bid adieu to the amazing memories and start our return journey towards Kasara station.

6.47 PM: Kurla
6.51 PM: Ghatkopar
7.06 Pm : Thane
7.19 PM: Dombivali
7.28 PM: Kalyan

Cost for the above mentioned itinerary: Rs.1,000/- per person
Transport from Kasara Station to the base village and back.

Things to carry:
Torch with extra batteries (Very important)
3 litres water (Very Important)
Good trekking shoes (Very Important)
Extra pair of Floaters/Sandals.
Sleeping mat/bag/ blanket to rest on.
Some ready to eat food (Like plum cakes, biscuits etc.)
Haversack to put all your belongings in. Keep your hands free while trekking.
Medicines that you take regularly (We do have a general medicine box)
Please avoid wearing jewellery and other valuable items.
