Ranthambore National Park is one of the largest national parks in northern India. It is situated in Sawai Madhopur district of south-eastern Rajasthan. The nearest town and railway station is at Sawai Madhopur, about 11 km away.
Ranthambore wildlife sanctuary is known for its tigers and is one of the best places in India to see these majestic predators in the jungle. A good time to visit Ranthambhore National Park is between November to May when the nature of the dry deciduous forests makes sightings common. Its deciduous forests were once a part of the magnificent jungles of Central India. It is known for its tiger population and is one of India’s Project Tiger reserves.
Other major wild animals which includes Leopard, Nilgai, Wild Boar, Sambar, Hyena, Sloth Bear and Chital. It is home to wide variety of trees, plants, birds and reptiles. Ranthambhore is the site of one of the largest banyan trees in India.
Its landmarks include the imposing 10th-century Ranthambore Fort, on a hilltop, and the Ganesh Mandir temple. Also in the park, Padam Talao Lake is known for its abundance of water lilies.
Arrival at Sawai Madhopur railway station at 10.30 hrs.
Transfer to resort by open canter.
