Reporting Place – Karjat Railway Station, Dist Raigad, Maharashtra

Route of the Trek – Karjat – Kondana caves – Rajmachi Fort – Shirota Lake – Ekvira Karle Caves – Bhaje Caves – Visapur Fort – Lohgad Fort – Lonavala
Accommodation – Simple Accommodation / Houses of Villagers at higher camps
Food – Simple Nutritious Vegetarian Food
Climate – Temp max 25 & min 10 degrees Celsius

PARTICIPATION FEES: Rs. 1525/- per head. The fee will cover your stay in simple accommodation at all camps, nutritious vegetarian food.

Simply complete and mail us the Registration form. Reservations will be processed on a first-come, first served basis.

CAMPS and DISTANCE :
1 – Day 1 – Karjat (Base Camp) -985 ft (300 mtr)) – Reporting between 6 to 8 pm – 0 km
2 – Day 2 & 3 – Rajmachi(1st higher camp) – 2710 ft (826 mtr) – 5 hrs – 9 kms
3 – Day 4 – Ekvira (3rd higher camp) – 3110 ft. (948 mtr) – 5 hrs – 11 kms
4 – Day 5 – Lohgad (4th higher camp) – 3412 ft (1040 mtr) – 5 hrs – 10 km
5 – Day 6 – Lonavala (Destination) – 2560 ft (780 mtr) – 4 hrs – 11 km

PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION: After the completion of trekking expedition, photographic completion is held for which attractive cash prizes and certificates are awarded.

HOW TO REACH THE BASE CAMP:
Karjat is accessible conveniently by rail although it is approachable by Roads via Chowk Junction (between Khopoli and Panvel) on National Highway No 4 (Mumbai Bangalore)

For your convenience, volunteers will receive you at Karjat Railway station on Reporting Dates between 4.00 pm & 7.00 pm as per schedule of local trains.
Participants can have their previous night stay at Lonavala or Mumbai or Pune at their own.

AGE OF PARTICIPANTS: No bar for those who are 11 years old & above, but young at heart. However, the age restriction will be strictly adhered to.

CERTIFICATES: Participants, who successfully complete the trek and abide by the discipline of the programme, will be awarded certificates.

CANCELLATIONS: In case you are unable to join the trek after paying the participation fee, you will get a refund of 50% provided your request is received directly in the Malad Unit Office at least 7 days in advance from the date of your reporting. No refund will however, be admissible if such notice is short of 7 days.

KIND ATTENTION: it is an eco-friendly expedition, the participation is subject to the rules & regulations of YHA as printed in Handbook from time to time. However, some of the important points are reprinted below for your ready reference.

PROHIBITED: Alcohol, drugs or narcotics, firearms and gambling on the trail as well at campsites, Smoking, Entry to the area set aside for use by the opposite sex, offensive behavior which may lead to expulsion from the trek &/or membership.
