Avra Fort (Savantvadi T.), Xvade Kot about 25 miles southeast of Savantvadi and about 42 miles north of the Vengurle road, is built of stones and mud. It is surrounded by a dry ditch overgrown with brushwood and bamboo.
On the north is an outwork connected with the fort by a very thick bamboo hedge on the east and a wall on the west.
There is a strong but poorly sheltered gateway. The fort was dismantled in 1845. The fort is in a dilapidated condition at present.
