Marathi speaking Volunteers required for training n educational activities for WED Programme

Hi SPROUTSians & friends,
It gives me great pleasure in informing you that as a part of this year’s World Environment Day Celebrations SPROUTS is undertaking a mass awareness and educational drive covering 2000 employees, school children, families and people from 50+ villages associated with a corporate organisation who have their manufacturing plant at Shrirampur (near Shirdi). The activity would involve:
– Training & awareness programs towards importance and necessity of a sustainable and environment friendly lifestyles and ideas for ecological development,
– Property tours, showing various activities carried out by the company towards environment sustainability,
– Tree plantation activities also mentioning importance of trees, their names, place of origin etc etc.
The activity will be carried out for around 2000 employees, children and villagers. The program would span across seven days starting on June 5, 2010 ‘World Environment day’ (Saturday), then on every Friday and Saturday in June i.e 11 & 12, 18 & 19 and 25 & 26. SPROUTS urgently requires volunteers (preferably fluent in Marathi), who could contribute their time and effort for this activity either on all six days or at least one set of two days and could also help us translate and prepare our English literature into Marathi .

Please Note: SPROUTS would bear travel, food and accommodation expenses for the trip. The team would leave every Thursday evening by 9pm for Shrirampur and will be back in Mumbai on Sunday early morning (5am). Please contact us asap if you could volunteer with us on all days or any of the two day batches.

For those interested and selected for the activity, we would be conducting a short training workshop lead by Dr. Parvish Pandya & Anand Pendharkar – for all volunteers on June 6th in Vile Parle (East) Mumbai from 3-7pm, regarding the activities that need to be carried out at Shrirampur.
