ProtoVillage – project to develop a remote village in Andhra Pradesh

ProtoVillage is underway in Tekulodu Panchayat, a cluster of 3 villages in Chilamathur Mandal, Anantapur District, Andhra Pradesh, India (13?51’47.30”N, 77?39’51.06” E)

ProtoVillage is a 1095-day project to develop a remote village cluster in Andhra Pradesh, India into the prototype of an Adequate village cluster, sustainable and replicable – that sees the inhabitants directly involved in its thinking and making.

We call this desired state “Adequacy”, and it has 12 inter-linked, and interdependent dimensions: Food, Water, Shelter, Clothing, Energy, Income Generation, Education, Health Care, Public Domain, Connectivity, Social Equity and Eco-Conservation&Disaster Management.

If you are a Field Expert you can contribute in developing one of the twelve dimensions:

If you are a student you can join us in the action research phase of the project and spend some time with us in the village and participate as an intern:

If you are an artist you can help us design a new vision and language

If you are a journalist you can write about ProtoVillage and help us documenting and making public its steps and progress
