This is an initiative of few passionate Individuals who are willing to dedicate themselves for the development of Rural India which we believe is possible with the path of RURAL Social Entrepreneurship !

Creating Large Scale Youth Awareness: Renaissance Annual Conferences is done annually in partnership with various potential Universities across INDIA to create the platform for the different development stakeholders (student body, NGO’s, corporate and the Government) to come together on a common forum. And promote RURAL social entrepreneurship for the development of Rural India. Also, more such talks are organized round the year at various places Nationwide.

Supporting Social Organizations Holistically: Raising or supporting social conferences/symposiums across the Nation, Capacity Building, Connect to suitable partners, like minded organizations/people, social marketing for creating awareness and short term consultancy both technical/non technical.

Renaissance 2k10

In pursuit of its vision Renaissance-India initiated Renaissance2010, the first bold step towards its goal.

Renaissance2010 was hosted at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur (Previously Visvesvaraya Regional Engineering College) from 2nd-4th April, 2010.

The objective was to build a platform where students from the best of technological, management and other reputed institutes, who are motivated towards social causes could come together to share their ideas, thought process and social work experiences on specific projects.

The Chief Guest for the function was Mr. M.S. Unnikrishnan, Managing Director & CEO Thermax while the Guest of Honour was Mr. Anshu Gupta, Ashoka Fellow and founder Director Goonj.

The major events that took place during the 3 days were:

A. University groups Presentation- A showcase of the activities which the social bodies do at their campus.

B. Lecture Series/Workshop/Case Studies presentation on various successful social entrepreneur models

C. Solar cooker contest- a joint project by RGSTC, Govt. of Maharashtra & VNIT Nagpur.

D. Panel Discussion- a unique platform bringing the major development stakeholders together for a brain storming session.

E. Trip to Baba Amte’s Anandwan
