Transportation: Through local transport, by Train
Meeting point : 25th September, 2011 at Thane Station 07.00 a.m. (Platform no. 1 below indicator) Or
You can board the train at the station convenient to you and alight at Vangani Station at 8.30 a.m.(Central Rly) near Ticket Window as below train timings.
06.47 am Fast Train (Karjat)
07.51 am after kalyan halts at all stations
All are requested to please buy local Train Return Tickets (from your starting destination up to Vangani Station).
The Cost for the trek is Rs.170/-
including: Tea,Breakfast,Snacks(Morning & Evening), Local Transport from vangani to Nakhind base and back
Not including : Anything not mentioned above,Personal orders of food & cold drinks

Little About The Trek
Grade: – MEDIUM Height: – 2311 feet
Nakhind Hill is located in Raigad District and is north of Matheran. With a height of 704 Mtr High. This gentle hill is excellent for relaxed, easy walks and nature lovers. It’s a good trek in the monsoon or in the winter. It has a natural rock peak with a cavity in it at the top which is called Nedhe (natural hole in the hill) or ‘Nose hole; formed by natural erosion, it is big enough to accommodate a group of ten people and the view of the entire region from here is absolutely amazing. It is one of the second highest peak (2326 feet’s) in the karjat.
The itinerary for the trek is as given below:
Board the Karjat Train from our starting destination ………..Just Check that if u miss the train … u miss the trek è Reach Vangani Station at around 8.20am èBreakfast at Vangani and move forward to Nakhind by Local TransportèReach by 09.30 am at Base village of Nakhind and start the trek. èupto 12.000 am at the top èExploration and lunch upto 4.00pm è Descend down & Start our return journey to Mumbai ,We will be reaching Mumbai by 8.00 pm
What to Bring :
? Identity proof (must) ? Some ready-to-eat food ? Lunch for Sunday i.e. on 25.09.2011? A bottle of water (at least 2 litre) ? Extra Pair of clothes ? Raincoat or Windcheater ? Polythene bag for your garbage ? Medicine if you require usually ? Comfortable shoes, sandals ? A haversack to put in all the things to be carried….so that one your hand is free while trekking ? Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments
Please note: It’s Rainy season, so pack your bags accordingly in plastic bags

v Rock Climbing, Rappelling, Trekking or any adventure activity is potentially risky.
