National Mountain Biking Expedition Jalori Pass April to June 2012

The Expedition consists of only 11 batches of 20 participants each reporting at base camp on 24th April, 28th April, 2nd May, 6th May, 10th May, 14 May, 18th May, 22nd May, 26th May, 30th may and 5th June 2012. Choose any date mentioned above. Confirm from the National office of YHAI.


Day 1 : Report at Base Camp-Youth Hostel, Aut (3500 ft.)
Day 2 : Acclimatization and Orientation
Day 3 : Biking to Youth Hostel, Banjar – 22 kms (4000 ft.)
Day 4 : Biking to Youth Hostel, Jibhi – 10 kms (6000 ft.)
Day 5 : Biking to Youth Hostel, Jalori Pass – 10 kms –(10500 ft.)
Day 6 : Nature Trail at Jalori Pass, Biking back to YH Banjar 20 kms
Day 7 : Biking to Youth Hostel Aut – 22 km s-(3500 ft.)
Day 8 : Group breaks after breakfast

The minimum age for joining the expedition is 18 years. This condition will be adhered to strictly. Under age will not be considered in any case.

Near Banjar


Participation fee Rs.2550 + 150 Eco Development Fund=2700/- per head which will cover use of bicycle, stay in tented accommodation, simple nutritious vegetarian food, guidance, equipments and insurance. You will however, bear the to and fro travel

Note 1 : YHAI trekking expeditions are not subsidized by any Government agencies or donors.

Note 2 : Eco Development fund will be utilized for the infrastructural improvement of the campsite and equipment.

Imp. YHAI Group insurance cover is for accidental death or permanent disability only. You are advised to take insurance cover for your journey and other related matters.

How to Reach:

For National Himalayan Mountain Biking, our base camp is at Aut which is on Kullu-Manali Highway. It is 28 kms short from Kullu. Direct bus services are available from ISBT Delhi, Chandigarh and other parts of the Punjab. Nearest railheads are Joginder Nagar, Pathankot and Chandigarh.
