Our final morning in the park and not having seen a tiger since our first evening a couple of days ago we were really hoping to get lucky. We knew there was a mating pair in the area as had been spotted along one of the nearby nallahs (streambeds) by the forest guards the morning before. Long drawn Sambar alarms the day before and a lone sighting of this male tiger by another jeep the evening before that along this stretch had us try our luck once more. Luckily for us the elephants were patrolling in the same area as well and their movements nearby let us have an idea that a tiger may be around. A couple of minutes after it came out and walked on the road amidst the paused spotted deer alarms from the meadow adjacent to us. Great to see.
