Shiny Happy People
April 11 @ 7:00 pm - April 24 @ 10:00 pm
While the rest of the world fights to achieve its GDP goals, a little country nestled in the Eastern Himalayas, aims for something completely different. GNH or Gross National Happiness is Bhutan’s way of saying “We care”
With colorful prayer flags fluttering across towns, chimes breathing life into the otherwise quiet landscape, chants and laughter cascading your senses; Bhutan, is a country you can never get enough of. A stark opposite from the chaotic life you lead, this land snuggles away tranquility in its pockets!
A healthy mix of beauty and religion, Bhutan is as close as most of us may get to heaven (if any!) With their amplified love for nature; trees, hills, birds and animals are as close to them as Buddha, himself! As a tribute to this love, each October the country ushers in the Bumthang festival. Adorned in robes and chanting hymns, the masked Bhutanese welcome in good luck and caste away sins.
From dancing at the Bumthang festival to the ancient monasteries of Punakha, from traversing across the snowy peaks to jumping into ice cold streams- This journey has something for all! We travel across the length and breadth of Bhutan to decode its happiness meter.
A potpourri of adventure and nirvana, this trip is sparked with treks, traditional spas and peaceful long walks. Enjoy the company of female monks at the nunnery, or detox with a traditional Bhutanese massage. Climb up the tiger hill at Phobjika, or relax along the hot springs of Gasa. After tasting the hills of India, with us; it’s time to plunge into the valleys of the last Shangri-La!
Join us on this meandering road to bliss and uncover the tale of Bhutan!
